New Delhi: An IndiGo flight from Dibrugarh to Kolkata received a bomb threat on Saturday night after suspicious messages were found inside the aircraft.The threat, reportedly written in lipstick inside the aircraft toilet, was spotted on IndiGo flight 6E6894 (Airbus A-320) bound for Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport. The aircraft landed safely at 7:37 pm and authorities immediately moved it to an isolation capsule in accordance with established safety protocols. Kolkata airport officials confirmed that all passengers had disembarked safely.Hours earlier, a similar bomb scare was reported on an IndiGo flight planned from Kolkata to Shillong.According to the airline, a security threat was detected on board Flight 6E 7304 on February 14 while boarding at Kolkata Airport. The crew found a piece of paper in the plane’s bathroom saying there was a bomb on board. Authorities immediately evacuated the passengers and moved the plane to a quarantine cabin for detailed inspection.An IndiGo spokesperson said the airline immediately informed the relevant authorities and followed standard operating procedures. The statement said: “In accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs), we immediately notified the relevant authorities and fully cooperated with them to conduct necessary safety inspections. We apologize for the inconvenience caused to our customers. As always, the safety of our customers, crew and aircraft is our top priority.”Airport authorities confirmed that security checks were carried out in accordance with regulations.
