Savannah Guthrie and Arlo Guthrie take center stage in mother Nancy’s kidnapping; ‘The pride of our family’

Many people wonder if Savannah is somehow connected or related to Arlo Guthrie since they have the same last name. “Has anyone heard of Savannah Guthrie? I’ve heard of Arlo Guthrie,” one user wrote on X.

It is worth noting that Arlo Guthrie was a famous folk singer, known for songs such as “The Massacre at Alice’s Diner” and “Massachusetts,” the latter of which is the state’s folk song. He is the son of Woody Guthrie, best known for “This Land Is Your Land.”

Arlo is reportedly the father of four children – Abbey, Cathy, Sarah Lee and Anne. Meanwhile, Savannah Guthrie’s parents are Charles and Nancy. Her father died when she was very young. While Savannah Guthrie may not be related to folk singer Arlo Guthrie, she does have a surprising connection to another man of the same name.

When her brother retired from the Air Force, Savannah wrote an article for him in which he mentioned the nickname. “Colonel Charles Camron ‘ARLO’ Guthrie flew his final flight as an F-16 pilot,” she wrote.

“He retired from military flying this weekend and we were honored to see him fly one last time. I have never been more proud of my brother. He flew for our country for 26 years and continues to proudly serve in the ‘Green Mountain Boys’ – the Vermont Air National Guard. He is the pride of our family and one of the finest men in this country,” Guthrie added.

Investigators are continuing to search for Nancy and believe time is of the essence as the 84-year-old will be in poor health without medication. According to People , Nancy suffers from heart disease, high blood pressure and uses a pacemaker.
