According to a PTI report, players will get the lion’s share of the rewards. The 15 cricketers are expected to get Rs 6 crore each and the remaining Rs 41 crore will be allocated to them based on their roles and hierarchy in the coaching staff and support team. The reward is slightly higher than the Rs 125 crore given to the Rohit Sharma-led side after India won the T20 World Cup in 2024, showing the board’s continued appreciation for major international wins.BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia praised the team for their achievement and said, “The Board once again congratulates the players, support staff and selectors on this historic achievement and wishes them continued success in the future.”Previously, the BCCI also announced Rs 58 crore for the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy winner, Rs 51 crore for the 2025 ICC Women’s World Cup winner, and Rs 75 crore for the ICC U19 World Cup winning team. In the T20 World Cup, India defeated the New Zealand national cricket team by 96 runs in the final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday to clinch the trophy.
