Here are five facts we know about Dogan so far:

• According to the New York Post, Pawtucket Police Chief Tina Goncalves said at a press conference Monday night that Dorgan was a 56-year-old father who went by the alias Roberta Esposito. He has undergone gender reassignment surgery in the past, according to WPRI Providence. “We have identified the suspect by his birth name, which is Robert Dorgan,” Gonsalves said. “We also learned that this individual is indeed named Roberta and also uses Esposito’s last name.”
• Dogan has been identified as the father of a North Providence High School senior. The student was participating in a hockey tournament, local television station WPRI reported.
• During the game, Dogan was sitting near the back of the home team’s side of the stands and shot four family members and a family friend before walking to the front. Multiple sources told WPRI that the deceased included the mother and siblings of his children. The mother died inside Lynch Arena, while the siblings died in hospital. Three victims remain in critical condition.
• Gonsalves confirmed police had nothing to do with Dogan’s death. “This appears to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound, but we will conduct a full investigation into this,” Goncalves said. “The police are not involved in this matter.”
• A woman who identified herself as Dogan’s daughter said her father had various “mental health issues.” The woman, who did not give her name, told NewsCenter 5 as she left the Pawtucket Police Department that her father was “very sick.” “He shot my family and now he’s dead,” she added.
