After his arrest, his family fought hard to suppress his name’s connection to Khalistani, saying they faced threats, but an appeals court recently lifted the suppression in the public interest.Singh was sentenced to 22 years in prison with a minimum of 10 years on multiple drug charges. His accomplice Himatjit Singh Kahlon was sentenced to 21 years in prison.
