NEW DELHI: A speedboat carrying tourists capsized in the Maldives early on Friday, leaving Raymond Group chairman and managing director Gautam Hari Singhania slightly injured and two Indian men, including rally driver Hari Singh, feared missing and a search and rescue operation underway.Singhania was one of seven people on board the boat that capsized near V Felidhoo. His spokesman confirmed that he was rescued and brought back to Mumbai and is currently recovering.“Gautam Singhania suffered minor injuries in an unfortunate accident. He is recovering with appropriate care in Mumbai,” the spokesperson said.The spokesman added: “We thank you for your well wishes and our prayers are with those affected.”According to reports in the Maldives, the speedboat was carrying two women from the UK and Russia, and five Indian men. Police said five people were swept out to sea, including a Russian woman and four Indian men.Among the missing are two Indian nationals, including rally driver Hari Singh, and efforts are ongoing to find them.As investigations into the incident continue, authorities have launched a search operation in the area.
