After being asked to bat first on a flat pitch at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Gujarat Titans posted their highest total of the season, finishing with 229/4. Gill once again dominated the innings with a brilliant 44-ball 84 that was filled with 9 boundaries and 3 sixes. Despite experiencing discomfort in his left foot briefly during the match, the GT skipper never allowed the Rajasthan bowlers to settle. Gill found the perfect partner in Sai Sudharsan, who continued his excellent form with a flowing 55. The two created a huge 118-point advantage in the opening round and completely dominated the Powerplay, with GT crossing the 100-point mark in 9 rounds. Rajasthan’s bowling struggled again and Jofra Archer had a tough game. Archer conceded 18 points in the opening game, including 5 points, and ended up conceding 46 points in just 3 overs. Sudarsan repeatedly punished the width while Gill displayed graceful strokes on the ground. Although Yash Raj Punia eventually sacked Sudarsan, breaking the initial partnership, Gujarat never lost momentum. Washington Sundar struck an unbeaten 37 off 20 balls in the late innings while Rahul Tewatia hit two sixes in the final over to push GT to 229/4. Chasing 230 runs, Rajasthan Royals got off to a flying start with a stellar performance from teenage star Vaibhav Sooryavanshi. The 15-year-old hit six off the first ball of the innings and continued his fearless attack with 36 off just 16 balls, including three fours and three sixes. After five overs, RR were firmly in the game with 62/2. Dhruv Jurel also counterattacked brilliantly, hitting 24 with three sixes and one four in just 10 deliveries. However, once Rashid Khan struck, the game completely changed. The Afghan leg-spinner had excellent control and variety between the eighth and fourteenth overs, making the most of any small turns on the surface. Rasheed first bowled Jurel with a teasing pass and then dismissed Donovan Ferreira with a fierce leg-breaker just three balls later. He then trapped LBW Ravindra Jadeja lbw to complete a brilliant four-wicket drive as Rajasthan collapsed dramatically from a strong position. Rashid ended the match with figures of 4/33, including three dismissals. In the earlier chase, Mohammed Siraj ended Sooryavanshi’s explosive innings with a sharp short ball while Kagiso Rabada removed the stand-in captaincy Yashasvi Jaiswal With a fiery bodyguard traveling at 152 kilometers per hour. Jason Holder then ended the innings with brilliant figures of 3/12 as Rajasthan Royals were bowled out for 152 in just 16.3 overs, handing Gujarat Titans one of their biggest wins of the season.
