new delhi: congress.com Rahul Gandhi On Wednesday it was said that “Prime Minister Narendra Modi compromised,” and said he was prevented from speaking during the debate on the motion of thanks because he wanted to raise issues of vital importance to the people. Rahul claimed that this was the first time that an opposition leader was blocked while addressing the Lok Sabha.Rahul and MP KC Venugopal addressed several contentious issues in the first half of the budget session and led to the opposition’s move to remove the Speaker About Birla. In a brief speech, Rahul said, “Last time (February 2-3), I raised the issue of the Prime Minister, former Army Chief Naravane, Epstein, Adani being compromised. I fell silent. These issues are of vital importance to the people of India. Our Prime Minister has been compromised. Everyone knows the consequences of compromise.” He said he had been prevented from speaking many times. When BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad criticized Rahul in the Lok Sabha, Rahul intervened, complaining that BJP members had said “mean” things about him.Venugopal, who led the opposition, accused Birla and the prime minister of failing to go to the House of Representatives to respond to a motion of thanks for the president’s February 4 speech. He claimed that Modi did not want to come to the Lok Sabha and the government was using speakers to create an escape route – referring to Birla’s statement that he asked the prime minister to leave because the congresswoman was blocking his seat and “something bad” could happen. “This is the most irresponsible statement by Birla,” he said.Venugopal asked why Modi did not defend Birla when former prime ministers Jawaharlal Nehru and Rajiv Gandhi spoke during a debate involving removal notices against the speakers.Venugopal lashed out at Prasad for mocking Rahul’s remarks and recalled Modi’s controversial remarks during the Balakot program that “clouds” would help Indian aircraft avoid Pakistani radars. He claimed that when Chinese troops entered Indian territory, the Indian Prime Minister’s reaction was “jo uchit samjho wo karo”, as claimed in an unpublished book by Naravane. He said Rahul was prevented from raising key questions, asking whether the US’s 30-day permission to buy Russian oil amounted to a “giving up of sovereignty” and whether the names of cabinet ministers in Epstein’s documents should not be up for debate. Venugopal also alleged that Rahul’s microphone was often switched off and said earlier the LoP was free to intervene.
