NEW DELHI: The opposition Lok Sabha leader on Friday elaborated on the “political pressure and suffocation” faced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi by elaborating on his fiery “jiu-jitsu” metaphor in his Budget Session speech. In a video post on X, Gandhi highlighted Gautam Adani The indictment, as well as Epstein documents mentioning federal ministers Hardeep Singh Puri and Anil Ambani. He also criticized the India-US trade agreement as one-sided and heavily biased towards US interests rather than Indian interests.“China is sitting on our border on one side and the US is on the other side. Our prime minister is caught between these cracks. He is trapped,” Rahul said, explaining why he used a jiu-jitsu analogy in his parliamentary speech during the budget session.
“Why did I use the jiu-jitsu analogy in my speech to Parliament on the trade deal? The reason I used the concepts of grips and chokes is because they exist in the sport of jiu-jitsu and are ways of controlling an opponent in the sport,” he said.“But they also exist in politics. In my political experience, political controls and strangleholds are mostly hidden. Ordinary people cannot see them. You have to look closely to see where the stranglehold is. It speaks very powerfully of what our prime minister is going through,” he added. In a post on“Why would Modi agree to a deal where India paid so much and seemed to get so little?” he asked before replying: “The answer to this despicable capitulation lies in the ‘grab’ and ‘strangle’ of the Prime Minister.”“But the most important thing is data. In fact, our data is being handed over to American companies by Mr. Narendra Modi for a pittance. Mark my words, we will become a data colony,” he added.Earlier, Rahul had criticized the government-organized artificial intelligence summit, calling it a “messy PR exercise” and claiming that instead of leveraging India’s talent and data, the event promoted Chinese products while putting Indian data at risk.Members of the Indian Youth Congress staged a topless protest at the Bharat Mandapam on Friday against Prime Minister Moditargeting the AI Impact Summit, accusing him of being “compromised.” As part of the demonstrations, party workers took off their shirts to express dissent.
