PCB criticized for reports that Babar, Fakhar were injured for World Cup

The matter was mentioned by the chief elector Aqib Javed The ODI squad for the Bangladesh series was also announced and both Babar and Fakhar were left out. He confirmed the board will review the situation regarding their health clearance.The situation became even more serious when both players were still dealing with injury issues after the World Cup. Babar later pulled out of the National T20 Championship due to a hamstring problem, while Fakhar also faced a similar issue.“When Babar was examined, it was discovered that his injury was more serious than initially diagnosed and Fakhar has been battling the same issue for months,” a source said.The report also stated that the team management informed the national selectors that team physiotherapist Cliff Deacon has cleared two players to participate in the match. However, Deacon has previously been criticized for allegedly sanctioning players with minor injuries, reportedly due to his close relationship with members of the squad.Babar is currently receiving rehabilitation treatment from the PCB medical team at the National Cricket Academy and is expected to be fit before the match. pakistan super leaguewhere he will lead Peshawar Zalmi.
