Park Place Mall: Shooting on Broadway East in Tucson sparks panic; first details

A shooting was reported at Park Place Mall, 5870 E. Broadway Ave., Tucson. Arizona Wednesday. A local news page quoted a scanner report saying “someone shooting Facing life-threatening danger.” They pointed out that the incident occurred in the food court area of ​​the mall.

“Young male reported suffering multiple GSW. Life-threatening injuries. TPD on scene,” they added Facebook. The page reported that two people were shot. They further added that the second victim was found with a gunshot wound at Dillards in the mall.

The Tucson Police Department has not officially commented on the shooting.

“We have crews on scene at Park Place Mall. We are working to get information from Tucson police, but viewers have told us they did hear gunshots inside the mall tonight,” 13 News’ Mary Coleman reported, sharing photos showing a heavy police presence in front of the mall.

Park Place mall shooting details

“Two young males were shot in the food court. One male was shot in the face and abdomen (life-threatening) and one male was shot in the leg/knee (non-life-threatening),” the local page added, citing scanner reports.

They named four young men as suspects. “4 young men – 3 #3 (black) and 1 #1 (Hispanic) male,” the page reads. HT.com cannot independently verify this information.

The page added that Tucson police and mall security were clearing the area as people became scared and sought shelter. Some people also expressed their concerns on Facebook.

One person angrily commented: “Awesome. Can’t even sit down and have a decent lunch without worrying about some dirtbag taking a shot.”
