A source from DG Shipping told reporters: “Once a cargo ship bound for India passes through the strait, naval warships in the Gulf of Oman will escort and guide the cargo ship away from the troubled area and towards the Arabian Sea.” toy.“Iran appears to be allowing some vessels to pass through the Strait of Hormuz subject to verification during transit within Iranian waters,” said Martin Kelly, senior risk analyst, consulting director at Gulf-based security firm EOS Risk Group. The navy remains in contact with India-bound cargo ships preparing to leave the Persian Gulf.
