The pacer, who has played around 30 T20I matches for Sri Lanka since making his debut in 2022, challenged the decision, arguing that the rejection was unfair and severely affected his career chances. He was originally scheduled to represent Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2026, having previously played in the previous seasons of IPL 2024 and 2025.However, during a recent hearing, Tushara’s legal team informed the court that the player wished to withdraw the petition. With most of the IPL season already over, there is no longer any practical value in continuing the case. The court subsequently dismissed the case on his request.apology and reconciliationIn a major development, Tushara also apologized to the SLC and expressed its willingness to end the dispute.
