Pietersen disagreed with this view and said the tournament will continue, possibly in a T20 format.In his latest response, Modi said that the economic situation of English cricket does not allow The Hundred to rival the IPL. He also said that this competition can only be similar to SA20 at best.“So it’s better to look at reality and think of it as a South African T 20 league. If this was the only short format in the UK then teams would break even or make a marginal profit. Remember @ECB_cricket the bread and butter will continue to be the two-sided competition and you should all hope that is the case as the short format requires all the above elements to get people to pay even a fraction of the £35 a month football package,” he concluded.Modi, who now lives in London and faces charges of financial irregularities and money laundering in India, reiterated that no league can compare with the IPL.
