SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir government is planning to set up new J&K Houses at Dwarka in Delhi and Khalghar in Navi Mumbai, besides expanding and modernizing existing UT properties across the country.chief minister Omar Abdullah A meeting was held with Cantonment Board officials in Delhi on Wednesday in this regard. “Ensure that new infrastructure and reorganization of existing properties reflect UT’s rich cultural heritage and character and are integrated with modern facilities,” he told officials.Omar also asked them to approach the Punjab government for plans to build JK housing in Amritsar.The CM directed officials to study similar government properties established in other states and Union Territories across the country so that best practices in infrastructure development, construction and service delivery can be incorporated into the upcoming facilities in J&K.
