When Entin asked the chief why he had no homicide experience, sources said favoritism plays a role in such decisions.

The source responded: “You’re making decisions by people who will install friends and do things for them, not people who are competent and can do the job right.”

She also disagrees with the softer terms used to describe what happened. “People calling them ‘blunders,’ which is certainly perfumed pigs, isn’t it? That’s a euphemism for ‘blunders’ — they screwed up. The federal government doesn’t do that,” she said.
