A new report by The Sun has revealed the estimated amount spent on the missing persons case as it approaches the four-month milestone but with no sign of a resolution.

A source told the outlet that Savannah has hired an “entire independent team” of former agents, security experts and investigators who are working every day to pursue leads.

“She is not ready to stop searching for her mother. She feels the official investigation alone is no longer enough – which is why she has invested so heavily in private investigators and outside experts,” an unnamed source told the publication.

“I haven’t heard anything about a private investigator,” said Entin, who is moderating a panel on the case at a crime conference this weekend.

Nancy Guthrie is believed to have been abducted from her Tucson residence late on the night of January 31 or early on February 1. After initial breakthroughs, including surveillance footage of masked men and DNA evidence collected from Guthrie’s home, the case stalled, making analysis difficult.
