The resurfaced image shows the acknowledgments section of Anne’s book, which begins with this sentence: “Tommaso Scionimy heart, my roots, my bones. “
Nancy was reported missing three months ago on February 1 from her home in Tucson, Arizona. Guthrie was taken from the home early on February 1 or late on January 31, according to authorities. In security tape released by the FBI, a masked man wearing gloves can be seen at her door the night of the disappearance.
Self-proclaimed investigator Jonathan Lee Riches posted a photo of the book’s page online with a caption highlighting Guthrie’s remarks about Sione.
The acknowledgments read in part: “Tommaso Scioni, my heart, roots and bones”, followed by acknowledgments to a wider range of literary colleagues, friends and family.
The acknowledgments listed her mother, Nancy Guthrie, brother, Camron Guthrie, and sister, Savannah Guthrie, among many others. Online users are also interested in Charlie, another name listed alongside Nancy’s name in the passage.
“Others will find it strange that she mentioned her mum’s name instead of saying thank you mum, who is Charlie she mentioned?” User on X question.
Users also debated the meaning and emotional intensity of the words she used towards her husband, Tommaso Cioni. “Hmm…this is a new one. Everything and everyone in her world has roots, bones, plants. The way she writes and expresses it is really weird in my opinion,” one user commented.
Some online commenters interpreted the line as poetic language common in literary dedications, while others speculated on how the relationship between Guthrie and Sione related to the Nancy kidnapping investigation.
“Not to imply guilt, but, I’d like to know the dynamics of the relationship,” one user wrote.
Nancy, the mother of “Today” show host Savannah Guthrie, disappeared about 110 days ago. Despite hundreds of tips and rewards offered by the Guthrie family and federal authorities, investigators, including the FBI, continue to work tirelessly to find or apprehend the culprits.
In April 2026, media sources revealed that the FBI had obtained and was reviewing potentially critical DNA evidence found at Nancy Guthrie’s residence several months earlier.
The sample was initially examined by a private laboratory in Florida in partnership with the Pima County Sheriff’s Department and forwarded to the FBI in recent weeks.
That heightened tensions between the Pima County Sheriff’s Office and federal agents. The schism became public when FBI Director Kash Patel accused Sheriff Chris Nanos’ department of failing to cooperate with the FBI in the early stages of the investigation, which the former denied.
