Nancy Guthrie: Neighbor’s glove takes center stage, provides major update on DNA test; ‘There appears to be blood’

Tucson News 4 anchor Monica Garcia shared on the X that a local couple said they found a black glove with what appeared to be blood on it outside the main search area. Many netizens are wondering if this is what people call the “second” glove.

The couple further told the news channel that they were driving nearby as part of a search party when they spotted the gloves under their car’s flashlight. They said another pair of gloves was found about 10 feet away from the first.

Garcia said the couple did not touch any gloves and called the FBI tip line and the Pima County Sheriff’s Department.

However, after receiving no satisfactory responses from either department, the couple then called 911, who performed due process and asked them the required questions.

In the video, Garcia shared a photo of the bloody gloves the couple found.

The Tucson couple questioned whether the gloves tested by CODIS were the same gloves they found on February 11. So far, the results have not matched in the system, according to authorities.

However, the Sheriff’s Department told News 4 they were unable to confirm whether the gloves found by the Tucson couple were part of the evidence. They mentioned that law enforcement had collected multiple pairs of gloves from the area.

News 4 has not received any updates or confirmation from the FBI.
