The source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the case was wrongly described as a search and rescue case rather than a potential criminal matter. This was described as a “serious mistake”.

“This rush to judgment has accompanied the investigation,” the report quoted sources as saying. “They’re treating it as a search and rescue issue rather than a possible criminal issue.”
