While there have been no developments in the Guthrie case, there are reports that daughter Anne and son-in-law Tommaso Cioni are in the process of getting their car back.
Although the couple was subject to endless speculation online, investigators accepted it as they investigated. Former NewsNation reporter Ashleigh Banfield reported that Cione was a likely suspect, sparking initial interest.
Authorities have since made it clear he was not a suspect, and Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos cleared the entire Guthrie family, including Anne. However, there has been interest in the two men because they reportedly lived near Guthrie’s residence. Additionally, the octogenarian dined with Anne on the night she is believed to have disappeared. Reports also indicate that Sioney walked her home after dinner, which may have made him one of the last people to see her before she was taken away.
At the same time, the two spotted in public Yesterday, they left a card at their mother’s memorial for the first time.
Nanos told NBC News that the homicide unit is currently working with the FBI on the Guthrie case. However, he added that officials were acting under the assumption that Guthrie was still alive.
