The search for Today show host Savannah Guthrie’s 84-year-old mother Nancy Guthrie continues nearly a week after she was reported missing from her home in Tucson, Arizona.
Authorities investigating her disappearance are treating her disappearance as a criminal investigation and say Nancy Guthrie was taken from her home against her will.

During a press conference hosted by PCSD on Thursday, February 5, FBI Special Agent Heith Janke stated that a $50,000 reward is being offered to anyone who provides information leading to Nancy’s return or the arrest of those responsible for her disappearance.
The media received several ransom notes, some of which contained detailed information about Guthrie’s residence.
However, investigative authorities have yet to confirm the authenticity of these ransom messages and have arrested one person who sent the false ransom messages, Darrick Callella.
Derek Carrera The man was arrested for threatening Guthrie’s daughter and son-in-law, shortly after Guthrie’s family posted a message for help on Instagram.
However, there is “no evidence linking this incident” to Guthrie, Janke said at a news conference. He clarified that Calera was simply trying to make money from the high-profile disappearance of Nancy Guthrie.
Carrera was released on Friday, February 6, on $20,000 bail.
Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said blood found on her porch was confirmed to be Nancy’s.
“The only DNA evidence we got back was on the porch. We saw the report on that blood. It came back to Nancy,” Nanos said at a news conference Thursday.
Savannah Guthrie and her siblings Annie and Camron posted a video on February 4 making a direct appeal to anyone with their mother to contact the family and show proof that she was still alive.
Cameron Guthrie Share another video on Instagram that echoes the previous one. “We need you to reach out and we need a way to communicate with you so we can move forward,” he said.

“Every kidnapper knows that you can’t get the money and the ransom unless you provide proof of life,” said former FBI agent Andrew McCabe.
James Galliano, another retired FBI supervisory agent, said the most intriguing aspect of the kidnapping is that Nancy Guthrie’s alleged abductors have not yet made contact with her family, despite requests for direct communication.

In the days before her disappearance, Brett McIntyreHe lives across the street from Guthrie and told the New York Post he saw an unmarked full-size white van parked on the street.
“It’s a white van, full size, without any printing on the side,” McIntyre said. He further added, “Typically people who come to your home for work will have a company vehicle or if they’re independent it will have something written on it.”
According to the latest information, no suspects or persons of interest have been released in connection with the disappearance.
“Everyone remains a suspect,” Nanos told police at a news conference. He said police were talking to everyone related to the case. “We would be irresponsible if we didn’t talk to everyone, whether it’s an Uber driver, a gardener, a pool worker, whoever it is,” Nanos said.
At a press conference on Thursday, Nanos denied the claims of forced entry into Nancy’s home and called them rumors.
“Whether it was forced entry or not, we’re not going to discuss it,” Nanos said at the meeting.
They also confirmed that no security cameras were smashed or destroyed.
Nanos said that although proof of life has not yet been received, law enforcement still believes Nancy Guthrie is “still out there” and is hopeful for her safe return.
