The closest thing that has been released is footage of a masked man in Guthrie’s home. ABC News reported last month that “potentially key” DNA evidence – a hair sample – recovered from Guthrie’s home was in the possession of the FBI. Notably, reports at the start of the case indicated that the Pima County Sheriff’s Department chose to first send the DNA evidence to a private lab in Florida they were using before turning it over to the FBI.

Now that the evidence is in the hands of the FBI, many have expressed hope that the technology and resources at its disposal can produce some results in the case. Moore noted that the FBI starting to test hair samples is “probably a good sign” because they will be using advanced technology. He added that he would “wrap the whole sheet and tie it around the top so everything in the bed would go to the lab.”

The former FBI agent said the sheet could be a potential trove of DNA evidence. “You couldn’t walk across the room without leaving some kind of evidence,” Moore continued.

He then reveals the lead’s potential connection to the kidnappers, which is explosive. “I doubt [Nancy] Just because of her age, she was helped out of bed. And if you do that and lean back in bed… I mean, why do people wear hairnets in restaurants? Because we know that food can cause hair loss. ” Moore commented.

“The hair would have fallen off that bed,” he continued. Moore appeared to indicate that the hair might have fallen out if the perpetrator had reached down and pulled Guthrie up from the bed. It’s worth noting that the person seen in the video clip at Guthrie’s home was wearing a mask and generally kept their hair from falling on the bed.

However, the retired FBI agent said he was “very encouraged” that the FBI is now examining the hair. Meanwhile, more evidence has emerged Found in LongmontEarlier, authorities discovered Guthrie’s fitness tracker and collected DNA evidence from a vehicle abandoned near a jogging trail. The DNA reportedly matched a suspect authorities had previously questioned in Guthrie’s kidnapping case.
