Anne Guthrie, Nancy GuthrieAs the search for the 84-year-old continues, his daughter allegedly shared a map in a neighborhood group chat. Jonathan Lee Riches, a self-proclaimed investigator who is covering the case in Tucson, shared this Anne Neighbors were asked to check their camera footage for “any suspicious activity before and after the kidnapping.”
He shared this alleged map, with the route highlighted in blue.
Notably, the Pima County Sheriff’s Department and the FBI also examined neighbor’s camera footage and doorbell camera footage in an attempt to find clues about Guthrie’s disappearance. The octogenarian was reported missing on February 1 and authorities believe she was taken from her home the night before.
Riches added that Anne sent out the map within days of the kidnapping, which likely made it an avenue that authorities were already investigating.
Notably, a video from Guthrie’s home showing a man wearing a ski mask and carrying a backpack helped authorities release a description of the suspect. The suspect is described as a “male of medium build, approximately 5 feet 9 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall.” He was seen carrying a black 25-liter Ozark Trail hiking backpack.
Earlier in the day, Riches shared a photo of a blue Honda that Anne and her husband, Tommaso Scionihave retrieved their vehicle. Authorities were inspecting the car as Sioney reportedly walked Guthrie home after dinner with Anne. There were reportedly delays in returning the car as authorities reassembled the parts after a thorough inspection. Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said early on that no members of the Guthrie family were suspects in the case.
However, the intense scrutiny on the Guthrie family appears to be taking its toll on Today show host Savannah Guthrie as the search for her mother continues.
The daughter of the missing woman was reportedly “shocked” by what happened to Guthrie’s home in the Catalina Foothills near Tucson, Arizona. Social media influencers and true crime enthusiasts flocked to Guthrie’s home to film content, The Blast reported.
“Savannah was devastated. She was praying for answers, but her mother’s home turned into a circus,” Rob Schuette report On his Substack, sources were cited.
“That house now feels like a crime scene rather than a family home. The idea of demolishing it only came about because the memory of being there became unbearable,” Shute further reported the source as saying.
