Former Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene called for Trump to be removed from office under the 25th Amendment after the president issued alarming warnings about Iran. “This entire civilization will die tonight and never be resurrected. I don’t want that to happen, but it might happen,” Trump said at the Truth Society.
Greene lashed out at Trump, writing: “The 25th Amendment!!! Not a single bomb fell on America. We cannot kill an entire civilization. This is evil and insane.”

However, this is not the first time Green has bombarded trump card On his Iran policy. Back in February, after the U.S. launched what Trump called a “massive and sustained” campaign against Iran’s missiles and navy, Greene posted a nearly 700-word critique on X, writing “Thousands of Americans of our generation have been killed and injured in never-ending, senseless foreign wars, and we say no more. But we are liberating the Iranian people. Please.”
She also dismissed Trump’s rationale for the attack. “Iran has 93 million people, let them liberate themselves. But Iran is on the verge of having nuclear weapons. Yes, of course.”
She accused Trump of betraying the voters who brought him to the White House, saying, “It’s always a lie, and it’s always America last. But this time it feels like the worst kind of betrayal because it’s coming from people and an administration that we all think is different, but he’s not saying anything more.”
Trump’s post on Truth Social triggered Greene’s demand for the 25th Amendment, which came as the United States and Israel launched attacks on Iran and about 12 hours before his deadline for Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz or face destruction of its infrastructure.
He wrote, “Now that we have completed a complete regime change, different, smarter, less radical ideas prevail…Tonight we will find out that this is one of the most important moments in the long and complex history of the world. 47 years of extortion, corruption and death will finally come to an end.”
Tuesday’s attack hit several key locations, including a railway bridge in Kashan, a bridge near Qom, a major highway in northern Iran and Khag Island, a key oil hub that handles about 90% of Iran’s oil exports.
Trump had earlier warned Iran, “They’re going to have no bridges. They’re going to have no power plants. They’re going to have nothing.”
Iran rejected Trump’s ceasefire offer and halted diplomatic talks. Iran’s Revolutionary Guards warned that their response would “go beyond the region”, while Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said more than 14 million Iranians had signed up to defend the country.
