Fox 11 reported evacuation Although the fire was extinguished within minutes, work continued at the hospital. Several of the patients were transferred to nearby hospitals, local media reported, without providing the exact number of such patients.
Local news channels broadcast footage of the fire live on Copper. It showed a large police response was underway at the location, with several police and emergency response vehicles spotted.
The Montebello Police Department closed Beverly Avenue and nearby streets. There is no word yet on when streets may reopen. So far, no injuries have been reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
