As tributes pour in for late NHL reporter Jesse Pierce After her tragic death in a house fire in Minnesota, public attention turned to her husband, Mike Hinrichs, the only surviving member of the family.
Pierce, 37, and her three young children died in a devastating fire at their home. white bear lake March 21st. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the fire, which engulfed the home before emergency crews could rescue those inside.

The couple has a close relationship, which is often reflected in Pierce’s social media posts, in which she expresses her gratitude for her husband and family life.
Pierce said she was “grateful” for her husband on Thanksgiving Day in an X post from three years ago, in which she mentioned that Mike “will be driving to Wisconsin where the liquor stores are open because we forgot about it earlier in the week.”

According to The Athletic, Mike was on a business trip when the fire broke out early Saturday morning.
Firefighters received an emergency call around 5:30 a.m., but the house was completely engulfed in flames. Pierce, her children and the family dog were all dead when crews entered.
Authorities have not released the exact cause of the fire, although local officials and the state fire marshal’s office are investigating.
Following the tragedy, Diana Johnson Salvador launched a fundraising campaign to support Mike through “unimaginably difficult times.”
A GoFundMe campaign launched by Salvador has raised more than $130,000 to help pay for funeral expenses and provide financial support.
The GoFundMe page describes Mike as a “loving father” to his and Pierce’s three children. The couple has two sons and a daughter.
