Melania Trump-Ghislaine Maxwell: Fact-checking first lady’s claims about Epstein associates, emails surface

Melania Trump, wife of the President Donald TrumpOn Thursday, she said she had “never” been with Jeffrey Epstein or his colleagues, Ghislaine Maxwell. The US first lady has denied reports that she had links to the convicted child sex offender and Maxwell, saying she had “no knowledge” of Epstein’s criminal activities when they met.

Melania also denied claims that Epstein introduced her to Trump, saying they were both invited to Epstein’s parties but met by chance. The two reportedly met in September 1998 at a New York Fashion Week party hosted by Paolo Zampolli at the Kit Kat Club in Manhattan.

However, Melania’s claims about not knowing Maxwell were quickly fact-checked by many people online as they shared email correspondence from Melania to “G.” The email was released as the Justice Department released the final portion of Epstein’s documents to the public.

Melania Trump-Ghislaine Maxwell: Fact-checking in email dispute

this e-mail It’s from 2002, and the sender ID has been blacked out. The email read, “Dear G! How are you? Great story about JE in New York Magazine. You look great in the photos. I know you are busy flying around the world. How about Palm Beach? I can’t wait to get down there. Call me when you get back to New York. Have a great time! Love, Melania.”

Many people online pointed out the part that refers to “G” (possibly Maxwell) “honey” and asks her to “call” when she returns to New York. Ending the email with Melania’s “love” also raised eyebrows as the first lady issued a statement distancing herself from Epstein and Maxwell.

MSNow also shared a copy of the email, and someone posted a snippet of the news report, writing “This is the email in question.”

Harry Sisson, pro-Democratic political influencer commented “Never share this email from Melania Trump to Ghislaine Maxwell, which she signed “Love” at the end. Trump will hate it if you do!” One more page additional “Obviously she wasn’t just answering politely.”

So while Melania claimed she had no relationship with Epstein or Maxwell, the email was used to suggest they were connected. However, it is impossible to determine whether the email is from Melania Trump or Klaus because the sender ID has been blocked. However, publications like MSNow have called out the email amid the first lady’s recent comments.
