McDonald’s CEO salary and net worth: Chris Kempczinski cruelly mocked for viral ‘product’ video

The video, shared on social media last month, shows Kempczinski hesitantly tasting the new “Big Arch” burger, which will launch in the United States on Tuesday.

“I love this product, it’s amazing. I’m going to taste it now, but I’ll be eating this for lunch, so you know,” McDonald’s the CEO said in a video that went viral.

The executive detailed that the “Big Burger” consists of “two quarter-pound patties, delicious arch sauce and some lettuce, and is topped with crispy onions and pickles.”

Kempczynski then found it difficult to get close to the oversized sandwich, admitting he “didn’t even know how to attack it” while carefully raising the burger to his mouth.

“Well, that’s great, that’s a big bite for the Arch,” CEO said after humorously taking a small bite and pointing the burger at the camera.

Users on social media were quick to criticize Kempczynski for treating the burger like an alien object and questioned whether the CEO actually enjoyed indulging in the company’s menu offerings.

One user commented on Instagram, “The man’s aura screams kale salad,” while another said, “This is the most unnatural thing I’ve ever seen.”

“Why does he look like he’s afraid to bite it?” said a third.

“It scares me when you call food a ‘product,'” another commenter wrote.

“He definitely won’t eat McDonald’s [sic],” read the most popular comment.

The recently launched Giant Burger attracted a loyal following in Canadian and European markets in 2024, eventually making it a permanent addition to menus in the UK and Ireland.

The new Big Arch burger contains 1,020 calories, nearly as much as a complete Big Mac meal (including fries and a tall Coke), as stated on McDonald’s website.
