A vote will be taken after the debate,” Rijiju told TOI.Official sources said the ruling NDA is keen to take up the issue urgently so that Birla, who decides not to attend the House until the notice is disposed of, can return to the House to chair the proceedings of the crucial session.The government’s decision to send Bella to attend the swearing-in ceremony of BNP leader Tarique Rahman as Bangladesh’s prime minister on February 17 was seen as a strong show of support for the speaker. The Speaker said the party planned to deploy a women’s contingent in LS, committing an unprecedented act of disrespect towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi by thanking him in his speech, drawing the ire of the Congress.Ahead of the vote, Congress will try to get TMC and AAP to support the anti-Birla drive.
