The Lohlusa West Fire is burning in southeastern Alachua County, Florida, near the Lohlusa and Hawthorne areas south of Gainesville, Florida.
The fire reportedly started on May 4 near South County Road 325 and Southeast County Road 346 and has now spread to more than 100 acres.
Florida Forest Service officials said County Road 325 between County Road 346 and Southeast Lane 152 is closed due to the fire.
Residents within a three-mile radius have been informed of the situation. However, no structures are currently threatened. No evacuation orders have been issued yet.
