Karoline Leavitt mocked as ‘open liar’ over new poll on Iran actions over community comments

“Americans agree Epic Fury Operation It was an overwhelming success,” Levitt claimed in Thursday’s post.

However, the links she gave were primarily to MAGA-related Republicans supporting Trump’s strike. Six polls on the White House page show 80-90% support for the war, but only among Republican or MAGA supporters.

There are three other links that are much less enthusiastically supported. According to the Washington Post, “Many Americans support U.S. action against Iran — and as the victories mount, so does support.” Opinion polls do not show support higher than when the strike began, but they also make it clear that the public still wants an end to the conflict.

Two other polls came from Rasmussen and Fox News, with the former showing that 61% believe Operation Epic Fury has been successful, and the latter showing that 6 in 10 Americans believe Iran poses a threat to the United States.

Both X and her critics thought Levitt’s posts lacked substance.

“The White House poll referenced in the link only refers to MAGA Republicans or Republican support for the war, not the broader American public. This excludes Democrats and independents who were polled, which skews the data and misrepresents the overall view of America,” X said in a community note sent to Levitt.

Caroline Levitt faces backlash

One X user commented, “Once again, the community has taken note of Levitt’s statement.”

“This is actually an overwhelming shame. Can you remind us what the original goal was? Regime change? Failed. It’s been two weeks – nothing. Elimination of nuclear weapons? Failed. Iran still has it somewhere, you can’t tell where,” wrote another.

“She linked to an article showing that only MAGA Republicans supported the war and then claimed ‘Americans agree.’ Her own link shows she is a liar. She is a proud and open liar. Journalists should treat her as such,” Mehdi Hassan said on X.

In her post on Friday, Levitt appeared to reinforce her assertion of strong support for Trump, even as she provided data that primarily showed support among MAGA supporters. She revealed that a Politico poll showed that 81% of MAGA Republicans support a war with Iran, and 61% of non-MAGA Republicans support it, for an overall support rate of 43%.

“As I have said repeatedly, Americans trust President Trump as their commander-in-chief and support his efforts to eliminate the threat of terrorism and keep us safe,” Levitt wrote on
