JAMMU: Facing allegations of irregularities in the procurement of 133 luxury cars in FY24-25, the Jammu and Kashmir government in a written reply in Parliament on Thursday denied the allegations and maintained that the procurement by various departments and PSUs was carried out strictly in accordance with laid down norms.“There is no deviation,” said Transport Minister Satish Sharma, who denied accusations of placing an additional burden on public finances.However, he acknowledged that the prescribed standards could be relaxed in certain circumstances, taking into account the difficult terrain, operational requirements and official nature of the mission.
