Japanese tourist molested near Jaigarh Fort in Jaipur, FIR filed but no arrests made yet

JAIPUR: Five youths have been accused of sexually harassing a Japanese tourist in Ampur area of ​​Jaipur after they intercepted him on a secluded stretch near Jaigarh Fort.The youths pushed the woman, held her hand and tried to kiss her, DCP (North) Karan Sharma said on Monday, citing the woman’s complaint which led to an FIR. No arrests have been made so far.Police said the incident took place on Sunday when the tourist was visiting Jaijal Fort and its surrounding hills. She called the police after being harassed and ran towards security guards stationed nearby. Upon noticing the guards approaching, the young man ran away. The guard notified the police.
