During the election, I told him that the PPP would win under his leadership and that the PPP had a clear majority. I once said in a meeting, ‘Our Dhami is extraordinary, he is Dhakad Dhami…Now, he should be called Durandhar Dhami. Uttarakhand is leading the country in many areas,” he said.Singh also recalled his tenure as chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, during which Uttarakhand was formed.“The land of Uttarakhand is the land of gods (Devbhoomi). I also served as the chief minister of Uttarakhand for 10-12 days. It was during my tenure as the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh that Uttarakhand was created.
