IShowSpeed commented on the collaboration in an interview with Variety: “I’ve always been a fan of anime and it’s a dream to be able to make something like this, but more importantly, I can’t wait to show other fans around the world what we’ve created together”.
Meanwhile, a report from Dexerto suggests that Big Shot Pictures founder Brian Robbins is equally excited, claiming that the YouTuber is uniquely creative and has the ability to make an impact around the world.
Although the exact plot remains under wraps, the series will feature an animated version of IShowSpeed. This is expected to be one of the first projects in which he approaches storytelling with a high degree of creativity.
A report from Streams Charts states that Big Shot Pictures is currently looking for a large buyer to whom it can sell the set.
With over 52 million YouTube subscribers, IShowSpeed is currently at the top of the streaming world. He won the title of Anchor of the Year at the Streamer Awards for two consecutive years in 2024 and 2025.
According to Variety, the anime project positions Speed at the crossroads of the creator economy, home entertainment and the rapidly growing global animation industry, where other major studios are already lying to get ownership rights.
