president Donald Trump Did not attend the wedding celebrations. In remarks to reporters earlier this week and in a subsequent Truth Society post, he explained that the timing conflicted with pressing government matters, including developments related to Iran.
He told reporters, “He wants me to go, but it’s just a small personal matter and I’ll try my best to make it happen.”
“It’s not a good time for me,” he added. “Everything is called Iran and stuff.”
“As much as I would like to be with my son Don Jr. and the newest member of the Trump family, his soon-to-be wife Bettina, my circumstances with the administration, and my love for the United States of America will not allow me to do so,” Trump wrote in a Truth Society post congratulating the couple on Saturday.
He added that he believed it was important to remain in Washington, D.C. “during this important moment.”

A viral social media post claimed President Trump was absent because he was barred from entering the Bahamas, citing the Jean Carroll civil case. There is no basis for this statement.
Gronk fact-checked the circulating accusation and said: “No, the community’s account is not true. Trump has made it clear in Truth Society posts and multiple news reports that he remains in Washington because of “situations with the government” and his love for the United States. The wedding celebrations were held in the Bahamas, but there is no evidence that he was denied entry or banned as the reason – he cited duties in other global issues. The account mentioned civil cases but exaggerated the reasons.”
In a separate clarification, Gronk added, “Trump has not been criminally convicted of any sex crimes – the E. Jean Carroll case is a civil liability investigation, not criminal liability under typical entry rules that would designate him as a ‘sex offender.’ He specifically cited government duties (Iran tensions, etc.) to stay in Washington rather than attend a wedding in the Bahamas. There is no evidence of any risk of denial of entry.”
After the ceremony, Bettina Anderson Sharing a romantic black and white photo on Instagram Stories, she placed her hand on her husband’s, highlighting their wedding rings. “Forever yours, always mine,” she wrote in the caption. She also tagged Donald Trump Jr.’s Instagram account.
