Tom Pritzker is one of thirteen wealthy heirs to the Pritzker family. Tom Pritzker’s father, Jay Pritzker, purchased the first Hyatt Hotel in 1957 and built a hotel empire over decades.

Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker and Tom Pritzker are cousins; however, both operate in different fields, according to the Chicago Tribune. Tom is responsible for global corporate hotel management and JB is responsible for political leadership and country governance.

Tom Pritzker has been mentioned for his ties to Epstein. Epstein victim Virginia Giuffre said in a 2016 deposition that she was forced to have sex with him. Tom Pritzker refuted her accusations, the Chicago Tribune reported.

In 2019, when Tom Pritzker’s name first appeared in court documents related to Jeffrey Epstein, Governor Pritzker said he “didn’t know if [Thomas Pritzker] Know Jeffrey Epstein at all. And, as you know, I don’t. “
