Local news channels noted that people in Amarillo may have smelled something burning, but clarified that nothing was on fire there. “If you smell smoke in Amarillo, it’s coming from wildfires near the New Mexico state line and possibly from fires near Buffalo Lake west of the canyon. As of this writing, there are no wildfires near Amarillo. Fires north of Amarillo and west of the Canadian River Bridge have prompted a Fire Alert in Porter County. Fires near Buffalo Lake have also prompted a Fire Alert in southern Randall County.” wrote.

So as far as I know it is just in open land. This message and video was sent by Cathlina Rivas King. This is separate from the grass fire in the southwest part of the canyon,” they wrote.
