On April 8, Singer had the honor of arriving at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling and met with Secretary of the Air Force Troy Maker and Wilsbach at the Pentagon.

In addition to his activities in the National Capital Region, Singh also visited Peterson Space Force Base in Colorado for a briefing centered on the North American Aerospace Warning, Aerospace Control and Maritime Warning missions of both countries’ North American Aerospace Defense Command, officials said.

A statement from the US Air Force said the Indian Air Force chief also traveled to Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada. The visit included a briefing at the US Air Force Operations Center and a familiarization flight in an F-15EX Eagle II.

“Opportunities like this are critical to building our joint interoperability and strengthening the strategic partnership between our air forces,” the statement quoted Singh as saying.

During the office call, senior Air Force leaders emphasized the priority the United States places on its defense partnership with India and emphasized the United States’ central role in ensuring a free, open, peaceful, and prosperous Indo-Pacific.

Wilsbach praised India’s leadership in participating in multilateral exercises with like-minded partners and stressed that continuing to prioritize and expand such cooperation is key to enhancing regional deterrence.

He also welcomed India’s procurement of MQ-9B Skyguard aircraft and emphasized the US Air Force’s commitment to ensuring that the Indian armed forces can seamlessly and effectively use the platform upon delivery.

Wilsbach also emphasized the U.S. Air Force’s readiness to further support the Indian Air Force’s modernization efforts, noting the mutual benefits of achieving these goals through defense industry cooperation.

“It is an honor to host Air Chief Marshal Singh on this important peer-to-peer visit,” he said.

“During his day at the Pentagon, we had in-depth discussions about modernization efforts, future training opportunities and our shared commitment to a free, open and prosperous Indo-Pacific,” Wilsbach said.

The office call was followed by a staff meeting, where topics discussed included the National Guard Bureau’s National Partner Program, the Air National Guard’s Advanced Airlift Tactics Training Center and full-spectrum MQ-9 operations.
