The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has confirmed changes to its club competition plans, with key matches now set to be played in Saudi Arabia, following disruption caused by ongoing conflict in West Asia.Iran Tractor Football Club will travel to Saudi Arabia to face Al-Shabaab in the play-offs. The winner will advance to the quarter-finals of the Asian Champions League Classic, where they will face Buriram United.The AFC held its quarterfinal draw on Wednesday, one day after announcing that the postponed Western Conference playoffs will be held in Jeddah on April 13-14. The city will also host the quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals from April 16 to 25.In the other draw, Japan’s Vissel Kobe, second in the East Division, will face the winner of the play-off between Al Hilal and Al Sadd.Defending champions Ahlisat will face Al Duhail and the winner will face Johor Darul Tazim in the quarter-finals.Al-Ittihad, the champions of the Saudi Professional League, will face Al Wahda, and the winner will face Japanese team Zevia Machida, who is ranked first on the Eastern League stage.The AFC also stated that the second round of the AFC Champions League and the quarter-finals of the AFC Champions League Challenge League, which were postponed due to the conflict, will now be played in centralized venues from April 19 to 22, with specific times to be announced later.Cristiano Ronaldo’s club Al Nasr is one of the teams participating in the second round of the AFC Champions League.
