If you are tired, it means you are bored. I have said it before – the day I wake up and feel bored, I will leave cricket.”“So, yes, the day I feel lazy or bored, I quit. But I’m not bored or lazy. I enjoy the sport. The results are good and positive,” he added, highlighting his continued desire for the sport.Focus on performance rather than choiceDespite being ignored by BCCI-led selectors Ajit AgarkarShami remains focused on what he can control – his performance. The veteran pacer moved to Lucknow Supergiants from Sunrisers Hyderabad and is now determined to make it happen. “As a bowler, I will give 100 per cent effort. I will fulfill my duties and try to live up to the expectations. Rest, I can’t change my luck,” he said.“If Lucknow trusts me, I will give my all. The main factor is satisfaction – whether the preparation I put in pays off,” Shami added.
