IEDs at major U.S. military base where Central Command is headquartered: Brother and sister charged; one in custody, other in China

A brother and sister have been formally charged for allegedly placing improvised explosive devices at a U.S. military base that houses U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) and Special Operations Command, the FBI confirmed Thursday.Sharing a Fox News article about the incident onHe further added: “The FBI will work with our partners to continue to track down all those responsible and ensure they are brought to justice, wherever they are.”Allen Zheng, who is suspected of planting the device at the Florida base, is now in China and faces charges including attempting to destroy government property with fire or explosives and manufacturing and possessing an unregistered destructive device, according to the FBI.Authorities also arrested his sister, Ann Marie Cheng. She was charged with being an accessory after the fact and tampering with evidence.“Today’s indictment is the result of extensive investigative work by our FBI team and comprehensive coordination with our state, local and federal partners,” Kash Patel said in a statement to Fox News Digital.He added: “No one who targets our brave service members and military installations will escape punishment, and the FBI will pursue all those responsible for the incident at MacDill Air Force Base to the ends of the earth.”On March 16, the FBI Tampa Field Office reported that a suspicious package was found outside the MacDill Air Force Base Visitor Center.The facility is the headquarters of Central Command, which oversees Operation Epic Fury against Iran. It is also home to the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), which coordinates special operations forces across the Department of Defense.
