‘I grew up in a family of two’: Usha Vance decides to have fourth child

Second lady Usha Vance has revealed how she decided to have a fourth child.

Second lady Usha Vance will become the first person since the 1870s to give birth while her husband was vice president. But she said she wasn’t aware of the data before becoming pregnant with Usha and JD Vance’s fourth child. The Vances are expecting a baby boy in July. In an exclusive interview with NBC News, Usha said she has never felt pressure to be “first” as she is also the first Hindu second lady. Talking about her pregnancy, Usha said it was very different from her previous three pregnancies as she had to dress up more frequently to play the role of second lady. “I wore a lot of sweatpants during my last pregnancy,” she said. “I work from home – you know, sometimes wear a blazer underneath.”

Usha plans fourth pregnancy

Recently, J.D. Vance said that he convinced Usha Vance to have a fourth child. “I remember when we decided to run for vice president, I said, ‘Honey, I really want a fourth child.’ She said, ‘Well, you can be vice president, or you can have a fourth child,'” the vice president recalled. “But, ladies and gentlemen, I’m very persuasive because I’m both,” JD said. Usha Vance said that maybe JD was right in calling herself “persuasive,” but she never closed the door on it.“I grew up in a two-person household. I thought that was a big number. And then I had two kids and I was like – I feel like that’s not enough, right?” Usha Vance said. “So I really wanted to have a third child.” Usha has a younger sister, Shreya. After the birth of her third child, the family felt complete, but she did not give up on the option of having another child. “We have our daughter and she’s great, great. So I’m just not sure. But as time went on, I realized I was getting more and more excited about the possibility. ““So if there’s an opportunity, I should take it, and I know I’d be happy if we just had three kids, and I know I’d be happy if we had four kids. So here we are.”Usha Vance, who is launching a podcast specifically for kids, said her kids helped her design and decorate the podcast studio.
