The California Democrat, also a 2026 gubernatorial candidate, has been embroiled in a scandal in which multiple women have accused him of sexual misconduct, including harassment, nonconsensual touching and sending sexually explicit photos without consent.

In a strongly worded statement shared on Ellie SammarcoHis husband, Adam Parkhomenko, said: “I wish his family the best and I hope he gets the help he needs. But if Eric Swalwell or his attorneys make any statement that disparages my wife, I will file charges against him.”
He further challenged members of Congress to take legal action if he disputed the claims, adding that Swalwell “should resign immediately.”
In a subsequent X post, the husband also raised questions about cease-and-desist letters sent by Swalwell’s legal team to other women. “With the exception of my wife, who is on the record, all the women involved have remained anonymous. So it’s a question that no one can ignore: If these letters are anonymous, how does he know who to send these letters to?”
Samarco was one of four women who accused Swalwell of sexual assault on Friday. Samarco first made the allegations publicly to CNN and then told NBC News about her experience.

Four women on Friday accused Swalwell of sexual misconduct, with one claiming he kissed her in public without her permission and two others claiming the congressman emailed them unsolicited photos or videos of his penis, CNN reported.
Ally Sammarco is one of the women who has accused him of sending unsolicited photos.
According to NBC News, Sammarco met Swalwell when she was 24 and looking for a job. capitol hill. She claims Swalwell invited her to his Washington, D.C., office to “meet the team,” but when she showed up with her resume, he was alone.
Swalwell and Sammarco use Snapchat to communicate. She described the messages from Swalwell as “normal” at first, but eventually became more flirtatious.
Samarco told NBC that after the incident at the office, Swalwell allegedly began sending photos of himself, including a “completely unsolicited” photo of his penis.
“I thought I was the only one who had this experience with him,” Sammarco said.
She further expressed her solidarity with other women who have come out. “I wanted to validate what these women were saying, and I felt like he needed to have a public reckoning in some way or he would continue to do this,” she said.
