Chet, 35, went on to explain that he “doesn’t have a green card because I’m a U.S. citizen,” so he’s “effectively stuck in Colombia. I’m stuck in Medellin.”

“Of course there are worse places to be stuck, but I really don’t know what I’m going to do, and the only embassy that solves this problem is in Bogota,” he added.

Chet also said he “didn’t want to go to Bogota,” which is about an hour’s flight from Medellin, “so he let me go.”
