The rift between them is getting bigger and bigger Donald TrumpKey influencers in the U.S. government and Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) appear to have quietly unraveled, thanks in large part to the intervention of Eric Kirk, who helped facilitate a key White House meeting at a politically sensitive moment.
Kirk played a central role in arranging a sit-down between Trump, top officials and frustrated MAHA voices after tensions escalated over the pesticide policy decision, Politico reported.
With the 2026 midterm elections approaching, this action is seen as a key attempt to stabilize Trump’s coalition.

The dispute began earlier this year when MAHA members, many of whom supported Trump’s pledge to strengthen environmental and health safeguards, bristled at policy moves seen as benefiting the chemical and agricultural industries.
Under the MAHA movement Robert F.Kennedy Jr. has emerged as a powerful but unpredictable bloc within the Trump camp, advocating for greater scrutiny of pesticides, food additives and environmental toxins.
However, recent government decisions, such as refraining from tightening pesticide regulations, have triggered a backlash from key influencers in the movement. Earlier this year, Trump pushed for the production of glyphosate, the active ingredient in Bayer’s Roundup products, arguing it was critical to the country’s “national security and defense.”
Bayer has asked for legal immunity from claims filed by tens of thousands of claimants in lawsuits that suspect the pesticide causes non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
As a result, the administration and MAHA influencers are divided over Trump’s order.

Erica Kirk Intervene as a key intermediary. According to Politico, she encouraged the White House to engage directly with MAHA influencers, ultimately leading to a closed-door meeting that brought together Trump, Kennedy and leading figures in the movement.
A source told Politico, “Charlie is a coalition builder, right? Like, he’s trying to bring these groups together. Erica, taking charge in that way and seeing what she can do, is exactly how Charlie operates and handles issues like this.”
The meeting marked a turning point, allowing both sides to air their grievances and discuss policy issues. White House officials described the engagement with Politico as part of an ongoing outreach effort to maintain dialogue with MAHA stakeholders.
White House spokesman Kush Desai said Trump administration officials “are in routine contact with MAHA stakeholders and influencers to hear their concerns, questions and suggestions, and April’s MAHA roundtable was one of many such events that was productive for all involved.”
