eyewitness reports

Some witnesses and local residents reported on social media that there was a heavy police presence in the area.

One witness wrote on Facebook: “I work at 13th Avenue and 9th Street in West Fargo. Before 10 a.m. this morning every cop was flying south down that road. Crazy.”

Another added: “There was an incident between construction workers in the secondary school car park. Everyone at the school is safe. Waiting for the all-clear.”

A third person reported: “So scary! There were so many police flying towards the veterans this morning I thought something happened to Xie An! Hope everything is ok.”

Another resident wrote: “There are police blockades on every road leading to the school. They are everywhere. Good to know what is going on. Especially with our kids there. And we live here too. Since it says community conditions, do people who live here need shelter too?”
