Saudi ArabiaThe Ministry of Hajj and Umrah Affairs has officially opened registration for citizens and residents in the Kingdom who want to participate in the Hajj 1447 AH (2026). Registration through the Nusuk Hajj platform begins on 6th of Ramadan 1447 in the Islamic calendar, and can be done through the official website and the Nusuk mobile application developed for the convenience of pilgrims. The ministry also announced that Hajj package bookings will begin on Ramadan 15, giving applicants time to register first and then choose from available service packages.

Saudi Arabia now opens registration for Hajj

During this initial phase, priority is given to those who have never performed Hajj before. Registration will continue until the end of Shawwal and if space remains available after this period, other eligible applicants may also have the opportunity to book a package. In order to qualify for registration, applicants must meet the following conditions:

  • Be 15 years or older (calendar year).
  • Meets all health requirements approved by the Ministry of Health.
  • For residents, those holding a valid residence permit will be given priority if their residence is valid for more than one year.

This ensures that registered pilgrims are qualified and in good health to undertake the physically demanding pilgrimage.

How to register and choose Hajj package?

Pilgrims must register themselves, no group or third party registration is allowed. The process involves:

  • Create an account on stamp platform or application.
  • Complete personal information and eligibility checks.
  • Choose from preferred Hajj packages listed by licensed companies.
  • Pay the fee through the secure Sadaad payment system to be issued an official Hajj permit.

All contracts and bookings must be made only through licensed companies displayed on the platform to ensure quality service and legal arrangements under Saudi supervision. The ministry encourages pilgrims to register early and seek help if needed through the Nusuk platform or the ministry’s helpline 1966.

Looking to the future

Opening advance registration for domestic pilgrims reflects Saudi Arabia’s ongoing efforts to improve the Hajj planning and booking experience, particularly by prioritizing first-time pilgrims and making the entire process more user-friendly.Using digital platforms such as Nusuk helps centralize applications, reduce errors and streamline communication between pilgrims and service providers. The move is in line with wider digital transformation goals for the country’s religious tourism sector. The timing of this registration is also related to international preparations, including the issuance of visas for international pilgrims, which began in early February as part of the global coordination system for Hajj 2026 operations.
