Gigi Hadid breaks silence on mention in Epstein dossier: ‘I grew up with privilege…’

Supermodel Gigi Hadid has spoken publicly for the first time about being named in documents relating to Jeffrey Epstein, saying the mention made her feel “sick”.Hadid, 30, addressed the issue after a social media user held her accountable for not commenting promptly. In response, she said she had never met Epstein, called him a “monster” and made clear she had no connection with him.Her name, along with that of her sister, Bella Hadid, appeared in a 2015 email exchange between Epstein and an unidentified person, whose identity has been withheld by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ). In the email, the person questioned how the sisters “became models and made so much money” and suggested their father, Mohamed Hadid, may have “paid” their modeling agency.Epstein dismissed the suggestion, replying “no,” but later agreed with the sender’s vulgar comments about the model.“It’s so scary to read someone you’ve never met talk about you like that. Especially in a situation like this,” Hadid said in response to the resurfaced conversation, adding that she initially stayed silent because she didn’t want to “take away from the story of his real victims.”Hadid wrote, “Yes, I grew up privileged,” but said her parents had a strong work ethic. She explained that her mother, Yolanda Hadid, took her to meetings with modeling agencies in New York, including one she had worked with. Hadid later signed with IMG Models in 2012, noting that the company had no relationship with her mother.“I’ve been working hard every minute of every day since then,” she said. Gigi added, “In these documents, I think I was 20 to 21 years old at the time, and it’s disturbing that he would have written that email, and I want to state unequivocally that I never had anything to do with that disgusting individual.”Epstein died in 2019 while awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges.Hadid summed up her response by saying, “May he (Epstein) rest in peace…” followed by a fire emoji.Hadid has a daughter with Zayn Malik and has been in a relationship with Bradley Cooper since 2023.The notorious documents include the names of several high-profile figures. Bill Gates and Bill Clinton have both previously admitted to having contact with Epstein.
